Jackie Jackie Shaffer is the founder of CommonGround.  She is an expert in non-profit business development and transformational leadership.  Her progressive leadership experience spans more than forty years, culminating in C-Suite positions in large multi-agency healthcare organizations.  Jackie considers herself fortunate to have honed her leadership skills within successful businesses that demonstrated the importance of combining a compelling strategic vision with strong core values; adopting organizational narrative as a basis for establishing a clear sense of purpose and accountability; and promoting participatory employee engagement.  This background served as the foundation for her leadership philosophy and passion -  inspiring individuals to listen for the voice of the unique leader that lives within us all.  For the past 15 years, Jackie has provided consultation services and learning opportunities to leadership teams in a wide-variety of non-profit businesses, multi-jurisdictional government planning groups, and community organizations in the areas of values-centered program/policy development, leadership enhancement, strategic business planning, non-profit governance and service excellence.  Jackie is nationally recognized as a subject expert in collaborative, complex process design – particularly in the areas of community engagement and resilience-building.  She is a skilled facilitator and international speaker on topics related to personal and organizational courage, the impact of story, and transformational leadership.  Jackie is the co-founder of Village Voices International, a 501c3 organization dedicated to eliminating extreme poverty in rural villages in Kenya and Tanzania by building on the innate wisdom and leadership abilities of the Maasai and Ilchamus people to solve complex problems to transform their lives. Jackie is a Sixth Sigma-trained registered nurse. She holds a BS in Social Psychology from Park University, and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Organizational Behavior from Central Michigan University.  She resides in Dublin, Ohio.


Doug Hauth is a transformational leadership coach, former corporate and non-profit executive and fund development expert. He is the founder of Conscious Leading.  Doug's executive background in the telecommunications, social service and healthcare industries has given him a broad perspective on effective leadership and organizational engagement.   He has had decades of experience in transforming under-performing organizations into successful ones. Doug passionately believes everyone is a leader.  He is a champion of collaborative processes that cut across traditional lines of authority to craft viable solutions to complicated challenges.  He is a gifted listener and expert in the art of building authentic relationships.  Doug is experienced  in coaching individuals, executives and leadership teams in their personal transformation in order for them to more consciously lead change and deliver sustainable results for people as well as profits.  His approach of aligning the heart and mind of the entire organization translates into inspired, high-performing teams that strive to achieve a shared vision.  Doug's unique blend of leadership, technical, fundraising and sales skills allow him to see the big picture and help clients navigate through highly complex situations. Doug has lead fundraising as the Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross and as the VP of Philanthropy for Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. He is considered an expert in Major Gifts, Online, Direct Mail and Social Media Marketing and Fundraising. Doug holds a BS degree in Business Management from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.  He completed an executive education program at Duke University and is a Certified Professional Executive Coach and Energy Leadership Index - Master Practitioner.  Doug is the Vice-President of the Board of Directors, Village Voices International. Doug resides outside Denver, Colorado.
